Subaru's horizontally-opposed boxer engine is a different animal from the inline and V-configuration engines most general workshops are used to — different gasket geometry, different torque sequences, different known weak points (head gaskets and timing components chief among them on the EJ-series). We work on these engines exclusively as part of our specialisation, from head gasket replacement and timing belt/chain service to full rebuilds.
